Interquartz (A'Asia) Pty Ltd, a privately-owned Australian company, was registered in 1981 and owns the exclusive product rights to all products sold in Australia under the "Interquartz", "IQ" and "IQTEL" brand names. Interquartz (A'Asia) Pty Ltd has over 5,000 corporate and government customers in Australia, and has sold over one million telephones since the inception of the company.
Inherent in the presentation of the products is a meticulous attention to detail and quality gained from over twenty years involvement in the Australian Telecommunications Industry in the PABX environment, working with business and government.
Active in the telecommunications industry since 1981, Interquartz is now the most experienced independent supplier of analogue telephones in Australia.
Australian and International design input
All products are designed by Interquartz (A'Asia) and manufactured by International Quartz Ltd located in Hong Kong. Cross-ownership between the two companies ensures a close and binding relationship.

International Quartz Ltd (IQL) was established in 1976, and is a manufacturer and exporter of business telephones under the brand name of Interquartz, and also provides extensive OEM and ODM contract manufacturing services for telecommunications customers worldwide.
IQL has accumulated extensive experience in the design of telephones meeting the Type Approval standards of different telecommunications authorities, such as the FCC in USA, ACA in Australia, TBR and OFTA. It also provides custom design, engineering service and analogue solutions to support major PABXs.
Interquartz brand products are currently marketed in many parts of the globe, and major representation of the products is conducted from the following locations:

The INTERQUARTZ manufacturing plant is located in Bo Gang, Bao An County of Shenzhen, China. To ensure the utmost quality and efficiency, the plant is equipped with advanced production and ICT capabilities, in- house R&D unit, moulding and tool making facilities.
IQL's quality assurance system has been accredited with ISO9001 certification by the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Association (HKQAA), referencing the design and manufacture of telecommunication terminal equipment and manufacture of electronic assemblies for household products.

The “IQ” logo is well known in the business telephony environment, and is associated with quality, performance, style, durability and excellent after-sales service – attributes displayed by the products and supported by the company for over 2 decades.
In our production facility a 300\% inspection testing scheme, including final post production sampling inspections in accordance with military standard MIL-STD-105 result in every telephone being tested 3 times before packing. In practice, this high-level attention to manufacturing quality has resulted in a well-established “out-of-box” failure rate of less than 1\%!

All products are designed and manufactured in a quality-controlled environment as our factory is accredited to ISO9001.
Federal Government
Interquartz is currently endorsed by the Federal Government under the Endorsed Supplier Arrangement: the current form of the ongoing relationship between Interquartz and the Australian Federal Government spanning more than 10 years.
NSW State Government
Interquartz is currently an endorsed supplier under state contract ITS005/2024.
Queensland State Government
Interquartz is registered as a supplier to the Queensland State Government under the GITC Q-248 Head Agreement.
Victoria – The Interquartz IQ331 telephone forms part of NEC’s successful VOTS submission.
Development of our products commences with the long-term gathering of market intelligence to assist in the planning of future generations of product. Specific product requirements are formulated in Australia from the sifted data. Combining market feedback from Australia and other countries, our design team creates export-quality product families in Hong Kong for the world market. Final product design evaluation is completed in Australia to meet local market and technical requirements along with all regulatory obligations to the Australian Communications Authority. Many value-adding activities are carried out to meet customer-specific needs such as programming, printing of customer logos and other artwork on the exterior surfaces, and technical adaptations and conversions for system and user requirements.
Interquartz is committed to the reduction of waste products and hazardous wastes. Ozone-depleting chemicals are not used, and no greenhouse gases are produced. Our product packaging consists of plain (unprinted) cartons and boxes, and recyclable plastic bags. The telephone products are constructed with recyclable ABS resin plastic casings, and electronic assemblies from which the heavy metals can largely be recovered with suitable processes.
All models are illustrated at www.interquartz.com.au and all user manuals are downloadable from the site. However, some new models and their user manuals are in the process of being added to the site - we apologise for any inconvenience while this work is ongoing. It is intended to have all new models and their documentation on the site by end 2004.
